1. Information We Collect

Chronos may collect account details such as your email address or Apple sign-in identity, capsule titles, unlock times, voice recordings, uploaded images, AI-generated results, subscription status, notification settings, and limited technical information needed to operate the service.

2. How We Use Information

We use your information to provide core app features, sync your capsules across sessions, store uploaded media, support capsule unlock notifications, restore purchases, improve reliability, run optional AI analysis features for eligible accounts, access the original versions of photos you authorize for capsule uploads, and save capsule images to your device photo library when you explicitly choose to download them.

3. Storage And Processing

Chronos uses third-party service providers to operate the Service, including providers for authentication, cloud storage, data processing, push notifications, payment processing, and AI-related features. These providers may process data on our behalf as necessary to deliver the Service and are expected to handle data in accordance with applicable privacy and security standards.

4. AI Features

If AI-related features are enabled for your account or plan, capsule data may be processed by server-side AI services during seal and open flows. AI-generated output is provided for informational and reflective purposes only. It should not be relied upon as professional advice and may be incomplete, inaccurate, or unavailable.

5. Notifications

If you allow notifications on your device, Chronos may send push reminders such as capsule unlock notifications. If notifications are disabled in system settings, those reminders may stop. Notification status may be synchronized to help avoid unnecessary delivery attempts.

6. Local Device Data

Chronos may temporarily store downloaded media on your device to improve playback speed and reduce repeated downloads. If you select photos for a capsule, the app may temporarily access original photo files that you have authorized in order to validate and upload them. If you choose to save a capsule image to your device photo library, that saved copy is managed by your device outside the app cache. Clearing local cache removes app-cached local copies only and does not delete your cloud-stored capsule content or photos you manually saved to your library.

7. Data Retention

Your account and capsule data are retained while your account remains active. You may request deletion of your data by contacting support, subject to applicable legal requirements. We may introduce additional deletion options in future versions of the Service.

However, Chronos does not guarantee permanent storage, retrieval, accessibility, or preservation of user content at any specific future date. You are responsible for maintaining your own copies of important content.

Cached local media may remain on your device until cleared manually or removed by the operating system.

8. Your Choices

You may manage notification permissions and photo library permissions in device settings, use limited photo access on supported iOS devices, choose more authorized photos later, clear local cache within the app, control whether automatic AI analysis is enabled, and manage subscription status through Apple purchase tools. Additional data controls may be added over time.

9. Children

Chronos may be used by individuals of various ages. Where required by applicable law, children should use the Service with the involvement or consent of a parent or legal guardian. We do not knowingly process personal data from children in ways that violate applicable laws.

10. Data Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data from unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. However, no system can guarantee absolute security.
